TBS Day 2. Morning cream and broken trowel.

I went down to TBS last night and It started pissing down. It´s been raining all night long. Woke up at 8 o clock and went down for a morning finish. I took of the covers and boom I stepped on my new trowel. So bummed Mr Zarosh gave it to me. Ah well. If anyone from America or Aussie reads this please contact me. Would like to buy some more of these pool trowels. We can´t get em out here. Well anyway I am doing some e-mails and packing right now. On my way down after lunch. More too come. Still loads of renovation to do….I need to give my place some love. Didn´t do anything there for a year, this year was all about the new Step it up side. Well looks like it will be a nice fall down at TBS.

TBS DAY 1.

I just got back home after a long lonely day down at TBS. When I passed by the other day I got sad. My place looked like shit, starting to crack up here and there and loads of other small things that bothered me. Well I started today, the main problem that most of us DIY builders run into are these cracks at the bottom. I have the solution for that. Finally I found the magic mix that holds. So what you need is Primer (concrete glue), this makes your mix stick better to the ground. Poor this primer in you mix and on the places you want it to be sticky. Then you need to get this FIBER based “cement/concrete mix”….It need to have fiber inside, read on the bag. One bag cost around 12 euro. Trust me it is worth it. The normal sand+stones+cement mix with glue can sometimes work but usually it cracks after a while. The problem with the fiberbase mix is that you can really go thick with it.Only up to 5 mm… But…Do it like this poor the fiber mix with clue, shape it as thick as you can and let it burn for an hour or so. It burns quite fast, then you mix in a bit of the classic sand cement glue mix. Mix these two together then it will do the trick. But the main part should be the fiber base mix. This also works perfect for fixing cracks in the ground or other disturbing things. Well anyway I am really stoked on this mix. It sticks well and is really strong. Also as we all know by know the weather plays a big role in all this, these thin layers are really sensitive for sunlight, make sure you cover it and have it in the shade during the drying process. Towards the end water it a bit and there you go. This is the key for the bottom problem.

Of course if you have real power tools you can just cut out a joint etc. But that is next level DIY. I never have any power around or a generator…

Here are some pics from todays work, I did two new speed bumps as well and loads of reparation. More to come.

TBS forever. On my way down as we speak, time for the final night wipe.

The Barrier Spot. 2004-2006 †

This is what remains. That spot was one of my all time favorites.
