Anziegeberlin issue 37 online.
Hi my dear friends around the world. The last day of this year today…I am in my bed taking it real easy thinking about the time that has been and the time to come. I think 2011 has been a great year, we started Polar and so on. Too much work and stress and the last week I started to feel it. I know I have to slow down take breaks get away from it all but it is hard. Skateboarding is my life and it is inside of me no matter how much I try to turn it off for a little while. A few strong drinks usually does the trick. Speaking of drinks does anyone understand this fucking MONSTER bullshit that seems to buy their way into everything??? Last night I surfed the web and even over at the Thrasher site it is all over the place. Adverts and they sponsor their park etc. It is sad if you ask me….I don´t wanna end the last day of the year with hating on thing cause there is just too much bullshit going on out there. But I must say that I expected more from the so called nr 1 hardcore skateboard mag in the world. Or maybe it is just me that don´t get it maybe the green Monster is really cool??? While we are at it in 2011 the DC shoe guys decided that they wanted to get back into the core skateboard scene again buying new riders from left and right buy back their streetcred…. The first thing they do is to do a massive tour collaboration with Monster showing up in Malmö with Speedboats from Copenhagen…. Great move guys. Well anyway I am not down with the Monster movement or any other of these energy drink companies…. There are tons of other crap out there that really makes me sad and it really hurts to see it all – buying their way in and raping our culture. I guess everything has a price after all….
Well puh I can continue this post forever maybe another time.
This post was suppose to be about the new issue of Anziegeberlin that my friend Adam Sello does. It is a cool sick little mag based in Berlin. We had a thing in the previous issue and we have some sick photos in the new one. Have a look around here.
Well so the year is almost done and I personally wanna thank all the great wonderful people around the world supporting us and being stoked on what we do and vice versa. Thanks to all of you for sending in great e-mails and sharing your stories and spots with us. A big thank you to all the mags that are down to help and support Polar. We are just getting started we still have a very long way to go before all our ideas and visions are falling into place. A big thank you to the team, Nils Svensson, Stefan Narancic, Jacob Ovgren, the skaters of Malmö, the skaters around the world, our distributors, the shops etc etc etc….
Well anyway have a great evening, drink to much and do all the things you didn´t do so far this year. At least that is my plan, must run down to the alcohol store now…
